So You Don’t Stand Up in Stand-Ups? 😆
Over half-term, I got my first experience of daily stand-up meetings and eventually got the chance to lead some of the stand-ups myself too!
The team was quite small (consisting of just some of my family members), but it was still really interesting to experience that developer workflow. In the daily morning meetings we would open Azure DevOps and each team-member would cover the following three things:
- What did I achieve yesterday?
- What am I working on today?
- Is anything blocking me?
Its surprising how useful such a tiny meeting can be. Within a few minutes, everyone is aligned, blockers are solved, and we continue to efficiently work through out Sprint!
